A painting of the moors above Bacup and Todmorden by Lancashire Artist Rob Miller

One of the best sights to see and paint as winter approaches isthe colour and movement of the ripe pennine grasslands as they move under the wind and the bright autumnal winds. This piece of Pennine between Bacup and Todmorden was once riven by coal mining and the heaps of slag. Its now changed again this time the need for power has resulted in row after row tall white wind machines. I painted this before the first one was erected.
