The Croft with the rusted roof . Artist Quality Print on Hahnmule paper . Size 50x50cm
I saw this croft when I was walking on my own through the Outer Hebrides. It was situated on a rocky peninsular on the wild Atlantic Coast of the Isle of Lewis. It’s lonely situation, crumbling walls and rusted roof looked fallen under the dark rain skies was immediately transformed by a shaft of light which for me made a stunning symbol of mans tenacious relationship to nature.
